Bruderherz in Nuremberg

Not a fan of German Beer, however, I would rate their tap beer a 5/5. Definitely recommend it to tourists in search of a good Lager. Furthermore, the setting is excellent and everything seems brand new inside. My only exception to bring down their rating is because of the location and parking. I stayed for 2 nights and had to pay 36€ at Parkhaus. I know it’s not Bruderherz fault, but maybe they could offer discounts or special promotions for their hotel guests. The hotel isn’t a great location either if you want peace and quiet. Keep in mind that you’re in the center of the city. The drunks will keep you up if you decide to sleep with the window open.

Excellent place to stay with a great restaurant. Rooms are spacious by hostel standards and we found little to no noise during the night.

This is a fantastic Hostel in old Nuremberg. Quiet, extremely clean, and setup to allow people to control the level of interaction they want. Prices were reasonable even in the "high" season with the Christkringle Market. Staff is very friendly. Stay here, you won't regret it.

The staff is friendly, concerning the service, they are pretty much occupied with other things. The food is ok, nothing to cheer. The location is originally nice and commodious. It‘s worth a try, ....maybe

So this place is a restaurant, brewery, brewpub, hotel and hostel. I tried all but the restaurant. My five-star rating applies to the hotel only. For the restaurant/pub I would say like two stars. The hotel staff is very kind and considerate. Answered e-mails within the hour and helped me find interesting spots in the city as well as store my bags for the day. They have dormitories with many beds in one room. Never tried before but honestly I am impressed. The beds were comfy, curtains to give privacy. Lighting and electricity to charge phones. Also toilets and showers and lockers (bring lock!). The hotel rooms (I had a double) regular size and good standard. Private shower, toilet and TV. Note there is no AC. I visited in November and could open a window but I would imagine the summers are not so enjoyable. I visited the brewery/pub and had a local beer. Not great, not bad would not try again. Service quite slow and some strange division of tasks where three guys in the bar could not administer me wanting to pay for my beer so that I could leave. Food seemed pricey but there are several places within walking distance to eat.

We stayed in a private room. It was very clean, functional, and well decorated. The common areas are very nice too. The bier is excellent.

Located in very center city, Friendly staffs, great atmosphere, reasonable price with loads of food on plate, they even have their own underground brewery. Worth visit!!

Recently renovated art nouveau hostel/restaurant/brewery located in the heart of Nuremberg. Double room had basic amenities (cable TV, hot shower, hair dryer and even a free bottle of water) for a great price, but there are dorm-style beds with shared bathrooms too. Pics of rooms on website are very accurate! Sure it's next to a few "erotic shops", but it's super convenient to cool bars and clubs (we enjoyed a mini staycation!), and shopping too. I didn't feel unsafe. Hotel/restaurant personnel friendly and professional. Didn't have dinner, but breakfast, and that's why this review gets only 4 stars. Boy, it took forever to get our order - and when you're hungover you need sustenance lickity-split! Omelette was yummy though. There was a changing table in ladies room, but not mens, downstairs. There's an elevator. I got what I expected so 4 stars it is!

Fucxed up...Tonight I paid through the nose... A bald headed staff overcharged me. This restaurant is not bad and has good kinds of beer. But I couldn't expect I would be overcharged for 8 Euros. This is an attitude of this restaurant to tourists from the other regions. In addition, I live in Frankfurt but I'm not German. I have never paid exorbitant price before in Germany. But I've ever heard behavior like this from tourists of Bayern's. Today, I've realized THIS restaurant and BAYERN.

As tourists in Nürnberg we really enjoyed this place. It was recommended by our nearby hotel when we asked for some modern local food, rather than the very traditional fare we had been eating - and this is exactly what it delivered! The modern atmosphere of the place was almost like a Melbourne cafe/restaurant (although having the TV blaring out a soccer game in the corner was weird and disappointing!). The menu was quite good with some modern twists on the traditional Bavarian dishes. I had an interesting hamburger and my wife had the duck, which was a bit dry (why can’t Germans cook duck?). Our favourite was the dessert called “Kaiserschmarrn” which was easily the best traditional dessert we ate during our month-long journey through Austria and Germany. The waiter described it as “pancakes broken with fruit” but it turned out to be even better than the description - great darkly caramelised pancake torn up with amazing plums, fresh berries and applesauce purée (like we would only have with pork!). Sehr lecker!
